Performer of the Issue: Molly Jackson

Junior Molly Jackson is a talented performing arts dance major who loves to express her individuality and creativity through dancing. BrookSpeak sat down with her to talk about what fuels her passion to dance and what she plans to do in the future with her talents.
BrookSpeak: Who inspired you to dance?
Molly Jackson: My parents enrolled me when I was 5, and it just kind of grew with me.
BrookSpeak: What drives you to want to dance?
Molly Jackson: My passion and love for it.
BrookSpeak: How long have you been dancing?
Molly Jackson: Technically [since I was] five, but I really started when I was 12.
BrookSpeak: Do you plan on pursuing dance in college?
Molly Jackson: I plan a double major, getting a degree in dance and something else.
BrookSpeak: What do you see yourself doing after college?
Molly Jackson: Dancing professionally with a company.
BrookSpeak: What do you do to keeping “in shape�?
Molly Jackson: Stretch, cardio, drink water and watch what I eat.
BrookSpeak: Are you on a diet?
Molly Jackson: No, I just don’t eat too much sugar.
BrookSpeak: What kind exercises do you do?
Molly Jackson: I do dance specifics, a lot of back ups, a lot of AB works.
BrookSpeak: Are you in any other extra-curricular activities?
Molly Jackson: NHS and BETA,
BrookSpeak: What do you do on your spare time besides dancing?
Molly Jackson: Hang out and watching movies, shopping etc.
BrookSpeak: What do you love most about dancing?
Molly Jackson: The ability to express yourself in a non-conventional way.
BrookSpeak: Was it mandatory for you to take dance lessons to make yourself better?
Molly Jackson: Yes. Definitely!
