Life's Vineyard

By Clarissa Green

Death, a fate that some fear and
Others adhere. The nightmare
Of every insecure person here.

In all minds the
belief can not be the same, because
If they were, there would be
No need for people to be insane

Insane with a fate that every
Man, woman, and child has
To eventually meet. Rather knowing
That they had the opportunity
To live, they walk around with
Their head hung down in defeat.

Life is like wine. A little pressure
At first to get you off of you
Vine. As you are squeeze the
Best is derived from you.
Over time it begins to come
Genuine, and true.

Though wine has its time and season
In it’s glory, there is always
Someone or some place that tells
Of it’s story.

Live on and don’t crush
Under a little pressure, it
Derives the best it doesn’t make
You thought of even less.
