Welcome to Stroud's House
Welcome to my class website. It's not exactly MySpace, but I hope you'll stick around for a little while.
If you are reading this you are:
a. a student in one of my two sections of British literature;
b. a member of the staff of Aplomado, Pebblebrook High School's yearbook;
c. a member of the staff of BrookSpeak, Pebblebrook High School's student newspaper;
d. very bored and the type of person who enjoys reading class blogs for entertainment.
I hope you'll explore what is here and let me know what's missing. I want this site to be more than a list of stuff for you to do. I hope this site can be a place where we can have a dialogue and you can come whenever you need help. You'll find calendars, assignments, links, handouts and tutorials on this site, and eventually you'll be authoring your own blog here.
In fact, let's start the dialogue right now! Below this post, you'll find a place where you can leave a comment. I'll refrain from giving you some lame writing prompt (we'll save those for the writing portion of the GHSGT), so feel free to express yourself in your own way (please note that I read this stuff to my 2-year-old son and I don't want him learning some of your favorite words), but remember the old cliché, "you only get one chance to make a first impression." Try to spell your name correctly.
~Stroud

Well I got my name right I hope and next I wanted to say that I am person D on your list because I enjoy reading blogs for fun. well that is if we get extra browny points to our grade wink a winkie!!!!

Warmest Regards
Shaun
.... As you can see this is Cherice. I've always wanted to be on a newspaper staff and this is the year I finally stepped up to the plate. I do understand that I am not a WONDERFUL writer and I sometimes have a problem organizing my thoughts but I would always give my all to what i am doing. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be on this staff.
Mr. Stroud,
To tell you the truth, i dont really have any themes on the top of my head right now. But tonight i will have something.
I promise!
The themes i like are torn together, raising the bar, its goin' down, and access granted i think one of these themes should be our 2006-2007 yearbook theme!!!
Hi Mr.Stroud! This is auriella from class i am just testing out my new e-mail adress. Bye
Hey Mr. Stroud its Dejia here and one word to describe me is " the weirdness". This means that I don't fit into a certain category, so I made my own. Dare to join" the weirdness" Mr. Stroud? If you are already part of "the weirdness" please disregard the invite that I gave you. Bye!
Hey Stroud! It took me at least 10 minutes to figure out I had to sign in before I could leave a comment. I meant to tell you at the start of the class that I'm pretty much retarded when it comes to the computers we use in class, so if mine starts to leak green ooze randomly, my deepest apologies. =]
Nice Blog
I want to be trusted!!!
Hey Mr. Stroud,its me Candis.I just want to say thank you for allowing me to be on the newspaper staff.As you may already know,I have a passion for writing,and i want to major in Journalism at Georgia State next year. Hi, Mr. Stroud. I have to say that ever since I read the first copy of Brookspeak that was distributed my freshman year, I have always dreamed to be apart of the staff. I was sooo upset when they eradicated(nice word huh?) the class last year. Well I know this year is going to be very productive. I can't wait to get to work. Oh yeah, Target can NEVER compete with Wal-Mart!!!:)
hey mr.stroud just saying hi and ill see you in class today
Hey Mr.Stroud, Mac OS X 10.5 is comming out soon, are you going to buy it? =)
Hey Mr. Stroud I know with these people on the staff we will have the best paper ever.
